IN MEMORY OF GEORGE PERRY FLOYD
George Perry Floyd was a pioneer in the To God be the Glory Sports program. In 1998, the second year of TGBTG operations, Floyd joined the programs men’s NCAA touring team and averaged 18 points/10 rebounds in 2 seasons with TGBTG Quest. Floyd recruited other top players in the area to join the TGBTG team, some of which received college scholarships and professional contract opportunities.
A Scholarship Athlete out of high school, George Floyd received full scholarships to both South Florida Community College and Lee College. He always kept a passion to sports and advocated young people going to college. To God be the Glory Sports will honor George Floyd with various programs in the community benefitting aspiring athletes for years to come |
